Do you have a passion for teaching and want to contribute to preserving the Dutch language and culture? We are always looking for teachers and teaching assistants for our locations in the Bay Area and for our online classes. Whether you are a beginning teacher or making a career switch, with or without experience, we offer support and opportunities to obtain your teaching qualification.

  • Support with lesson preparation and teaching

  • The opportunity to earn your teaching qualification through Digi-PABO or a fast-track NTC teacher training program via the Foundation for Dutch Education Abroad (NOB)

Who are we looking for?

  • You speak fluent Dutch or Flemish (first language)

  • You have a work and residence permit for the United States

  • You are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and proactive

Wat does a DSSV teacher do?​

  • Prepare lessons and teaches the students

  • Administers tests and records the results in the student tracking system.

  • Prepares student reports twice a year and conducts parent-teacher meetings.

  • Creates an enjoyable learning environment and atmosphere in the classroom.

What does the teaching assistent do?​

  • Assists the teacher in providing instruction to the students.

  • Assists with administering tests.

  • Provides input to the teacher for preparing student reports and conducting parent-teacher meetings.

  • Supervises during breaks.

  • Helps to create an enjoyable learning environment and atmosphere in the classroom.
