At DSSV, everything revolves around strengthening the Dutch and Flemish language and culture among Dutch-speaking children in the Bay Area. Our focus? To prepare your child as well as possible for a potential return to the Netherlands or Belgium, with the goal of a smooth transition into the local education system.
We carefully monitor the development of each student through our student tracking system, making it easy to transfer progress and test results.
Children who are not returning to the Low Lands are also welcome: through DSSV, they maintain their language and culture, and can pass on this valuable heritage.

Two Levels, One Goal

We work with government-defined reference levels, distinguishing between fundamental (F) and target (S) levels. This allows each child to develop at their own pace--with the goal of achieving the F1 level by the end of elementary school.

In addition to language, we devote significant attention to Dutch and Flemish traditions and customs, providing a broad and meaningful learning experience.

Dutch at Home

Speaking Dutch at home from an early age on is of invaluable benefit for our students and gives them a powerful advantage. It strengthens the connection with family and culture, expands their language skills, and offers them extra opportunities later in life. With your support at home, we can make their multilingualism their largest talent. ​
