The Dutch School Silicon Valley has been committed to deliver high quality Dutch language and culture education by providing a challenging, comprehensive and integrated Dutch language curriculum. In addition to our academic program we strive to foster a sense of community among families of Dutch heritage.

Terms of Admittance - Schoolyear 2010/2011

Age : Applicants must be five years of age or older on or before December 1, 2010 to be eligible for enrollment at the beginning of the school year.  

Language skills : Both native Dutch speakers seeking to maintain their Dutch language skills and native English speakers with a desire to learn Dutch as a second language are accepted to the school. 

Assessment

We make every effort to group students according to their age, their grade level and their knowledge of the Dutch language.Therefore, new students are language assessed on an individual basis by the director of the school during a family interview at your home.

Interviews with new students enrolling at the beginning of the school year are taking place during the last weeks of August : Monday August 16th 2010 – Tuesday August 31st 2010 and the first few days of September : Wednesday September 1st 2010, Thursday September 2nd 2010 and Friday September 3rd 2010.

With classes starting on Tuesday September 7th, 2010 through September 13th, 2010, we advise new families interested in enrolling at the beginning of the school year to contact us by phone or email to schedule an interview appointment.

During the school year

Enrollment during the school year is possible, but limited to the first week of each month to guard structure for the children and continuation in the classes. For example : an applicant who is turning 5 years old on January 15th, is able to enroll the first week of February.

Please fill in the registration forms and mail them to our P.O. box. Once we have received them, the director of the school will contact you to schedule an appointment for an interview.
